After a long construction period was opened today in New York the fifth Apple Store now. The opening was accompanied by a large crowd, who all wanted to be first in the new store. If you did not know better, you would think it were the launch of a new iPhone or iPad. But no, in this case it is the Apple store opening in Grand Central Terminal .

Fortune’s Philip Elmer-DeWitt was there and has the opening (moving) in recorded images and sound. The new store is for the remaining days of the year in full and only takes on 25December, a time-out.
